Walter Jason Jimmy Jr.

     "Jason" was a very inspirational man who wore his heart on his sleeve by motivating others.  He focused on inspiring the youth and adults to find value within themselves.  He was very outspoken and believed in being true to yourself.  He followed the traditional ways of life and helped others find the connection between cultural and spirituality.  Jason inspired others to heal and find power in the drum and song.  He was a great pow wow singer and traveled all over the country  and made lifetime friendships with many.  He believed the First Nation University of Canada was a gate way to rebuild our identity as indigenous people.  He spoke about the value of incorporating our indigenous teachings within the educational system and that it can be done successfully.  He loved and wanted success for everyone. 
    He is predeceased by:  his grandparents, Mary and James Starchief, Mike Lunio and Cecilia Jimmy; and numerous extended family members.
   Left to cherish his memory:  his loving wife, Venessa Jack; his daughters, Kailem, Heleyna and Marillya Jimmy; his loving mother, Helen Starchief; his father, Walter Jimmy Sr. (Sandra); his sisters, Tammy Jimmy, Shannon Wagner (Wayne), Candace, and  Jennifer Jimmy; his brother, Jeremy Jimmy; his best friend, "Rex"; and numerous friends and family.
