Wain Tootoosis Obituary

Wain, better known as "Johnny" (a nick name he got as a young boy) was born on April 7, 1994 to Wanda Littlewolfe and Wayne Tootoosis at Lloydminster, SK.  Johnny had lived with his parents until their separation when he was young.  Johnny and his sister, Sunrise, then moved in with their kokom, Elizabeth Littlewolfe (Chupno) and aunty Ruth.  Kokom Chupno and aunty Ruth did the best they could in providing them with survivial skills and teaching them the traditions and virtues of love, caring, understanding and respect.  Johnny was an avid self-taught artist, using crayons and a coloring book.  He then would draw on any piece of paper he could find, and he used a pocket knife to sharpen his pencils. I am very certain his drawings would have made it into any art gallery.

Johnny had a beautiful smile, and made many friends along his way, treating everyone with respect.  Kokom Chupno and aunty Ruth had to let him go explore the world as he spread his wings in search of his identity and destiny.  Johnny moved to Calgary, AB. to be closer to his momma Wanda and his siblings, Sunrise and Jen.  Unfortunately, Johnny got lost in the street life and was introduced into street drugs and his destiny in life turned for the worse.

Johnny leaves to mourn his passing: his loving mother, Wanda Littlewolfe; his father, Wayne  Tootoosis; his siblings, Jon-Li Gopher, Sunrise Littlewolfe, Jen-Li Tootoosis, Utin Littlewolfe, and Charlton Tootoosis; his kokom, Mary Elizabeth Littlewolfe; his  uncles, Jerry, Patrick, Paul, Richard and Clayton Tootoosis, Russell, Joe and Egan Pahtayken, and Glen Littlewolfe; his aunts, Marie Tootoosis, Linda Young, Bonnie Moosomin, Ruth Lewis and Connie Dillon; his adopted family, Tanya Cardinal, Charlene Littlewolfe and their children.

Johnny was predeceased by: his brothers, Elijah and Brandon Gopher, and an infant brother; his grandparents, James and Jenny Tootoosis, and Bruno Littlewolfe; his uncles, James Jr., Alex and Jacob Tootoosis, and Bernard and Wayne Littlewolfe; his aunt, Bertha Tootoosis; and numerous extended family.
