Vincent, “John” a nickname he gave himself at a very small age, was born November 3, 1961 to Ernest and Mary Jean Dillon. Vincent will be remembered for his charisma, his compassion, his humor, and his love of life. In his younger days he enjoyed playing sports, hunting and gardening. Due to health issues affecting his mobility and ability to work, he ended up leaving his employment as a backhoe operator last fall. Vincent was a proud parent of two sons, Luke and Terry. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. His grandson, Nahzi, had a particularly special place in his heart, who was a mini-me version of Vincent, and he looked forward to spending time with him during the summers. He loved his family and would never pass up a holiday meal or get together. His favorite pastime was playing cards at the poker house and making lasting friendships with the players there.
Vincent is predeceased by: his dad, Ernest (2013); his brothers, Leslie (1986) and Larry (2014); his sister, Doreen (2002); his niece, Wylee (2006); his paternal grandparents, Ernest & Maryann; and his maternal grandmother, Margaret Greyeyes.
Vincent is survived by: his mother, Mary Jean; his sons, Luke and Terry; his daughter, Carmen; his grandchildren, his siblings, Florence, Lorraine, Anne, Reta (Gordie), Debbie (Rick), Sylvia (Clifford), Eliot (Vivian), Evelyn, Terry (Judy), Dwayne (Connie), Jason (Ruth), and Audrey; his aunties, Rose, Rema, Tina, and Theresa; his uncle, Harry; his adopted sisters, Madeline, Helen, Marjorie and Rose; his special friend, Sandy; all his cousins, nieces, and nephews, too numerous to mention.
Vincent will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
