Sarah Heathen was born to Sam and Mary Cook in Onion Lake, SK. on December 25, 1928. Sarah was the youngest of 6 kids. Right from a young age Sarah enjoyed beading, cooking and visiting friends. She also enjoyed gardening, yard work, planting trees and flowers. She loved to go berry picking and knitting sweaters. She was a true pioneer and homemaker. She met and married Daniel Heathen in 1950. Sarah and Daniel had 14 children and raised them all in Onion Lake. Sarah and Daniel raised their nieces and nephews along with numerous grandchildren. Sarah and Daniel served the Lord throughout their lives. Sarah also enjoyed attending family gatherings and watching her grandsons horse racing. Sarah was a Residential School Survivor where she spent 8 years there. Sarah and Daniel raised their family with lots of farm animals and all the kids remember working hard along side their parents. Sarah spent her last days surrounded by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and loved ones. Sarah is survived by her beloved companion Tiny, her children, Bernice(Burton) Lewis, Rose Hill, Percy (Melina) Heathen, George Heathen, Gloria (Tony) Starley, Ruby (Darryl) Whitstone, Roger Heathen, and Kevin Heathen. Her adopted nieces and nephews, Gordon (Leona) Cook, Loretta (Ernest) Wolfe, Terry (Leona) Cook, Marilyn (Samual) Faithful and 63 grandchildren, 159 great-grandchildren and 46 great-great-grandchildren. Sarah is predeceased by her loving husband, Daniel Heathen, her loving parents Sam and Mary and numerous Aunts and Uncles. Her brothers, James, Edwin, and Simon, sisters, Katherine and Elizabeth, children, Bruce, Martha, Twin Boys (David & his twin).
