Rayleen's early years were spent in Pierceland, Goodsoil, and Meadow Lake. Rayleen loved her sports; including table tennis, hockey, soccer, basketball, volleyball and cheer squad. She had a paper route, worked at Safeway, got her grade 12 at Oskayak High School and brought the most beautiful baby girl, Aaliyah, into the world to brighten every day. She loved her family with all of her heart, always working hard to keep her siblings connected to each other and their roots. She was very proud of Aaliyah's jingle dancing and the teachings that Aaliyah was getting about her culture at Wahkohtowin School. Rayleen loved her make-up, getting dolled up, listening to music, and going to live concerts when she could. She loved to travel and go on adventures with her Besic family and also equally enjoyed going to ceremonies with her grandma, Freda, in Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation. She loved to learn about her traditional roots and always looked forward to taking her precious daughter to pow wows in the summer. Rayleen adored spending time with her family and friends and has left us all with wonderful memories to last a lifetime. Rayleen will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
