Paul was born August 25, 1938 to Frances and Paul Lutter Sr. in Loon Lake, Saskatchewan. Paul was the oldest in the family of five children. He was eighteen when his father died in 1956 and took on all the responsibilities of the family farm. Paul enjoyed farming until 2003 when he and his wife, Jean, retired and moved to the village of Goodsoil.
Paul enjoyed traveling and went on many trips over the years. He had a very green thumb and produced amazing gardens over the years. He was always very kind and generous, sharing the fruits and vegetables with family and friends. Paul loved baseball and played often when he was younger. He also enjoyed fishing, watching hockey, curling and playing cards. Paul was a member of the Knights of Columbus and also served on the Credit Union board. He was a very active member in the community, volunteering his time to deliver Meals on Wheels, and as an offertory counter and recorder at the St. Boniface Roman Catholic Church. Paul looked forward to going on his daily walks, stopping and visiting with neighbours and friends.
Paul will be forever loved and remembered by: his wife, Jean, his step-daughter, Deanna; his grandchildren, Chianne, and Tayler; his sisters, Rosemary, Louise (Leo), and Rita (Ed); his brother, Reinhold (Julie); and his nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
