Mikwan Nancy Okanee

 We will remember Mikwan Nancy Okanee (Horse) with great affection. Delanda, the mother, of Mikwan, dearly loved her unborn child and spoke fondly about her. The grandparents of Mikwan were excited when they heard of the good news that Delanda was going to have another baby. Mikwan was called home by the Creator at the Jim Pattison Childrens Hospital in Saskatoon.
  She is predeceased by: her maternal great-grandparent, Nancy Horse; her paternal great grandparents, William and Nancy Okanee;  her grandfathers, Howard Okanee and Eugene Okanee; her aunt, Virginia Betkattla; her uncle, George Stoney; and her cousins, Nancy Anne Okanee, Neal Okanee and Donalda Stoney.
     Mikwan leaves to mourn: her mother, Delanda Okanee (Horse) and Brad Kamakatayo; her sibling, Kihew Kamakatayo; her grandparents, Lorna Horse (Okanee), Jerry Okanee (Cheryl); her maternal great-grandparent,  Arthur Horse; her aunts and uncles, Warren Horse (Pam), and Aaron Horse (Gail); her paternal aunts and uncles, Eldon Okanee, Linda Okanee, Karen McDonald (Gary), Myles Meetoos, Percy Meetoos (Joyce), and Noreen Meetoos; and many of her relatives from the Thunderchild First Nation, and Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation, Treaty Six Territory.
Lastly we like to thank the Big Bear singers for sending her home through song.
