Micheal Harper (Jimmy) Obituary

Michael David (Jimmy) Harper was born in Saskatoon, Sk. to Ronnie Harper and Virginia Jimmy Harper July 8, 1982. He was also known as (wasi kwa si ne iyiniw) and his friends called him Harps. Michael was the oldest of his siblings, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

Michael will be missed by all family and friends. He had the brightest smile, charming, funny, and was passionate about healthy living with fitness as a lifetime motivation. He went to school for personal fitness training and helped so many reach their fitness goals. He loved to be outside playing baseball. He could hit home runs like no other, except Babe Ruth, where he would point to the direction he was going to hit (like Babe Ruth). He was athletic throughout his lifetime and in his school years, he would bring home first place ribbons from track & field, he also exceled in hockey. In his adulthood, on his time off from work in Edmonton, he loved to go off to the mountains with his family and his beloved pet Titus. He loved taking trips to visit Loon Lake, being out in the country to visit his mom, to quad and fish. In his youth, he played 50 points at the Elders Lodge with his Nohkom (Louisa) and the other Nokhoms. From there he expanded to poker, which led to another of his other favourite pastime activities. He enjoyed playing poker with his father, brothers, uncles and other community members. He loved to cook and made random recipes that always turned out delicious. As big and tall as he was, he would melt for his daughter, Luna. He would let her put makeup on him and played dolls with her.  Michael always was the one to show family the newest music out and had the best gym playlists. You could always count on him as he always come and helped his loved ones. He will be missed forever. His smile, laugh, hugs and the comfort he brought us all.

He leaves to mourn his passing: his beloved children, Luna Harper Dion (mother Kayla Summer Dion) and Tyrell Love Cattleman (mother Chanelle Cattleman); his mother Virginia, and his father Ronnie; his brothers, Ronald, Cody, and Desmond; his sister, Kristen Cardinal; and adopted sister Savanah. Paternal aunts/uncles, Bernadine Harper (Earl), Willie Harper (Brenda), Dean Harper (Elaine), Brian Harper, Terrance Harper (Shannon), Howard Whitestone (Penny), Chris Meesto (Millie), Sylvia Beardy (Kingsley). Maternal aunts/uncles, Brenda Jimmy, Loretta Jimmy, Gloria Jimmy (Kevin), Andrea Jimmy, Robert Jimmy, one surviving Paternal Nohkom (Edna Cannepotatoe) numerous uncles, aunties, cousins, nephews and nieces.
