Martha Cecilia Hoffman was born to Helen and Joseph Hoffman in Bolney, SK on Jan 22,1935. She was raised in a large family of 10 and loved to be outside helping on the family farm. She married Horst Werner and moved to their farm in Brightsand where she raised 7 children. Martha was relentless in her work to make the farm run smoothly but always made time for fun like swimming and ice skating, which she enjoyed. In 1975 the family moved to Lashburn, SK. where Horst worked in the oilfield and Martha drove the school bus for many years.
After the passing of her husband in 1993 she spent several years operating her business in Maidstone before moving to the Spruce Lake area with her second husband, Stanley Johnson. Martha enjoyed the farm, planted hundreds of trees and filled the yard with flowers. When Stanley passed in 2018 she moved back to Lashburn, SK. to be closer to her children and precious grandchildren.
Martha will be remembered for her incredible work ethic, her spectacular flower and vegetable gardens but most of all for her love for her children and grandchildren.
Martha was predeceased by: her husbands, Horst Werner and Stanley Johnson; and her siblings, Clara, Leo, Rudolf, Tilly, Adele, Roland and Joseph.
She leaves to mourn: her sisters, Sofie and Louise; her 7 children, Monica Werner, David (Heather) Werner, Cindy (Scott) Mckerchar, Robert (Karen) Werner, Donald (Connie) Werner, Micheal (Debbie) Werner, and Leesa (Craig) Hall; her 21 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
