Lena Claudia Awasis

  Lena "Claudia" Awasis went by many names, ole witch, witchy, aunty witch, nana witch and Claude bad dame, Claudja, Claudeballs, Cluckers and Kinikinic. Claudia was an amazing big sister and was the favorite sister of all of the brothers and sisters.  She was kind and loving to her family and friends.  She loved being a daughter, big sister, mother, aunty and grandmother. Claudia was always making everyone laugh, she welcomed everyone into her life, she was so forgiving and above all she loved doing crafts with her grandchildren.  She was the most amazing big sister anyone could ask for.  She was so generous with her heart, and was adventurous and lived life to the fullest.  Her infectious laugh will be missed by everyone.  She will be greatly missed by all of her brothers, sisters and family.  
     She is predeceased by:  her grandparents, George and Minnie Horse; her mother, Lena Awasis; her two baby sisters; her son, Evan Ewenin; her aunties, Nancy Ochipwayo, Sylvia Horse, Lynda Horse, Verna Horse and Margaret Louis; her uncles, Walter Linklater, Ken Gardipy and Clarence Louis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
     Claudia is survived by:  her children, Angel Walkingbear, Sharain Awasis, Jerilee Ewenin, Faron Awasis and Luke Awasis; her grandchildren, Sophie Walkingbear, Mercedes and her brother, Rhianna, Noah, Julianna and Danny Thomas; her sisters, Bernadine (Winston) Walkingbear, Connie (Wesley) Desjarlais, Beverly Awasis, Virginia Awasis and Mariea Singh; her brothers, Larry (Sara) Awasis, Lorne (Leona) Awasis, Cyril (Maria) Awasis, Harvey Awasis and Kevin Awasis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
