Kirby Joseph Carter was born on September 27, 1985 in Lloydminster SK, with his twin brother late Kirk Carter to Clayton Carter and late Ruby Whitstone. Kirby was raised in Onion Lake, Sk. He loved to play hockey in his younger days and as he got older he enjoyed hunting with his friends and uncles, especially with late uncle Glen. He enjoyed being outdoors, quad rallies, riding horses, and just recently he started to play golf. Kirby always took care of his health. Growing up Kirby taught us to be confident and to be strong when we were weak and to be fearless when scared. He was our inspiration and our protector. As children, we made a promise to always take care of each other and mom was so proud of that. Our brother was one of a kind and promised to always take care of us. In 2001, Kirby met the Love of his Life, late Cherish Rain and had 5 Children together. Everyone that was blessed to know Kirby knew he had a heart of gold. He was a devoted father, husband and lived for his sons and daughters and late wife. He was a proud dad but 2014 was the year his heart broke from the passing of his wife. Deep down in his heart we all knew he was missing his wife and our mom. Everyone who knew Kirby knew this. There is so much to say about Kirby and no words can describe how amazing he was and the way he made people laugh, his prank phone calls, his loud yelling if it was really quiet to give a scare and laugh, his random “what are you doing?" texts. Everyone who knew our brother looked up to him. If you ever came across our brother he had to make you laugh with his jokes before saying “see you later." His last year and a half he started working as an Educational Assistant and he really loved his job. 24/7 he was with school kids and then coming home to his kids. He was also an inspiration to single dads. They looked up to him and they would reach out to him for advice and support. We can go on about our brother but I’m sure you all know just who he was. A man of few words but a smile that could light up any room he walked into.
