Kenneth Arlett Obituary

The Graveside Service for Ken will be by invitation only.

Thank you for your understanding.

Kenneth Gregg Arlett was born January 18, 1939 at the Loon Lake Hospital, to Olive and Bill Arlett. He was the third oldest of nine children. He grew up on the family farm, which he eventually took over.  In his early years, Ken worked in B.C. at bush camps and summers were spent hard at work on the family farm and helping out the neighbours. In 1976, he married Gloria Olson, also from Loon Lake.  They had one son together, Cory. Ken also welcomed Gloria’s other two children from a previous marriage into the family at this time. Ken and Gloria remained on the farm until his passing. In the summers he enjoyed auction sales, tinkering around the farm and being “Barn Boss”, as he was lovingly dubbed, for many he considered family in the Pony Chuckwagon circuit.

Ken was predeceased by: his father, Bill (William); his mother, Olive; his brothers, Bill Jr. (William); Earl and his wife, Bev; his nephew, Sheldon; and his grandson, Chance (Cory & Carrie).

He leaves to mourn his passing: his loving wife of 44 years, Gloria; his son, Cory (Carrie); his stepchildren, Larry, and Shannon, and their children, as well as two great grand kids; his brothers and sisters, Don (Yvonne), Francis (Florence), Jim (Mabel), Bev, Bob (Jean), and Carol (Gary); all of his many nieces and nephews, and his extended chuckwagon family.
