Karen was Karen; everyone knew Karen! She was adventurous, very humorous, and always had a hopeful smile on her beautiful face. She loved her family very much and would always go out of her way to make sure they were cared for with her kind, generous heart. She was strong, resilient and fearless too. Her vibrant, lively, outspoken spirit will always be remembered and be dearly missed. She was raised in Vauxhall, AB and Ministikwan Cree Nation, and spent most of her childhood traveling to powwows with her family drum group; Little Island Cree. She loved dancing in her jingle dress regalia at every powwow she attended and she loved signing at rounddances too. She spent her remaining years in Regina, SK., and is now with the creators comforting presence where she gently rests.
