John Henry Ben

John Henry Ben was born in Loon Lake on June 8, 1980 to Peter Merz and Jenny Ben. He was raised in Loon Lake, SK. until he found his new homestead in Onion Lake. John was a very kind, outgoing, gentle-natured guy. He was a man with a kind and caring heart, always had a smile and hello for everyone. He loved his family and friends greatly, especially his 7 children. He loved to hunt, fish, play poker, and shoot pool. John always had a smile on his face, he was a humble man with a gentle soul, and awesome dad, brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him
    
John was predeceased by: his brothers, Clifton Ben, and Rodrick Ben; his googums, Edna, Isobelle and Mary Ben; his aunty, Joanne Ben; and his uncles, Brian and Mathew Ben. 
     
He leaves to mourn: his common-law, Jeanette Crookedneck; his children, Joshua Ben (Kaleah), Reighleen Ben, Nicholas Ben, Charly Whitstone, Charice Whitstone, Covell Cook, John Jr. Ben; his parents, Peter Merz and Jenny Ben; his siblings, Jennifer (Kerry) Gamble, Richard Ben, Gregory (Whitney)Ben, and Ivan Ben; his uncles, Sidney (Joanne) Ben, Scott Ben, and Rick (Diane) Merz; his aunties, Doris Gamble, Julia (Marty)Lay, and Theresa Schreiner; and his numerous nephews and nieces.
