Joe Steele Obituary

Joseph Frank Steele, “Uncle Joe”, was born in the Lloydminster Hospital on March 13, 1928, to Ethel and Harold Steele.   Uncle Joe passed away peacefully at the St. Walburg Health Complex on Tuesday, September 11th at the age of 90 years.   Uncle Joe grew up on the farm in Fort Pitt where the love of farming was instilled in him.  Joe went to Normal School and as a teacher his first position was in a one room school west of Hillmond. However, his heart was back home on the farm and that is where he spent the rest of his life cattle farming.
On May 30th, 1987, Uncle Joe married his best friend and the love of his life, Helen  Reeves.  They farmed and spent time with their family and friends in Fort Pitt.  He lived everyday to the fullest and was always one to offer a compassionate helping hand.  He loved the farm, cows and riding horses. Even during his last days, he always asked how the cows were doing.  Uncle Joe also loved sports, especially baseball.
Uncle Joe loved his family, his nieces and nephews were especially important in his life.  He was always a soft spoken, considerate, “gentle” man.
  Joe is predeceased by: his parents; his brother, Bill; his brothers-in-law, Sandy Hill and Jim Noble;
  Uncle Joe is survived by:  his loving wife, Helen; his three sisters, Sabra Noble, Grace Hill, and Pat Harland (Ervin); his sister-in-law, Marge Steele; his step sons, Danny (Rosie) Reeves, Kim Reeves, Stacey (Anne Marie) Reeves; his grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many friends.
