Jason Richard Chocan was born on July 12, 1973 to Gloria Chocan and Dennis Rainville. Jason was loved by all his family and siblings. He was so adored by his kokum, Harriet and his buddy/mosom, Wilfred. He loved and cherished his cicims, they were his life. He also loved "My Hollie". Jason gave the best bearhugs to you when he saw you. He loved to play volleyball and played for the U of S Husky team. Jason was an intelligent individual and was the valedictorian for his grade 12 class. After he graduated, he enrolled in a graphic arts course and eventually owned his own business. Much of his work can be seen in Onion Lake and in other communities. His design of the Treaty Six Flag which is seen across Canada is one of his legacies that will live on forever.
He is survived by: his wife, Hollie; his auntie mom, June; his children, Kiara, Kyler, Cayden, Mags, Ellis, Mardi, Leighton, and Landen; his grandchildren, Quincy, Keaston, Avari, Kenial, Anavai, Kenyan, Mavrick, Camilla, and Rising; his siblings, Derek (Lisa), Mitchell, Mandi (Tony), Calinda, Ryan, and Megan; his nieces and nephews, Skylar, Acoya, Brett, DJ, Ethan, Roxy, Laz, Madison, Cashius, and Mia; his uncles, Raymond (Lorraine), Jack (Brenda) and Vernon Chocan; his aunties, Rosalie Chocan, and Grace (Ray) Quinney; and numerous other relatives.
Jason is predeceased by: his biological mom, Gloria; his grandparents, Wilfred and Harriet Chocan; his sister, Roxanne (Roxy) Chocan; his uncles, Richard, JB Jr., and Wilfred Jr. Chocan; his aunts, Agnes and Aldina Whitstone, and Anna Chocan; and his cousins, Randy, Candy, Kirby, Casey, Paul, Wylee, Trevor, Desiree, Curtis, Loretta, Windy, and Wayne.Service Times are in MST.
