Elmer John Foulds of Maidstone passed away on November 29, 2020 at the age of 91. John was born October 16, 1929 to Jim and Maude Foulds at Livelong, SK. John had 12 brothers and sisters. He is survived by: his 2 sisters, Belva Head and Thelma Pope.
In John’s younger years he worked for different farmers and the Department of Highways for a short time. Beginning in 1959 he worked for the PFRA on a fencing crew for a couple years. In 1961, John started his 25 year career on the pastures where he checked and treated cows during the summer and rode round up in the fall at Paynton and different pastures throughout his time. After John retired from the pastures he worked on the service rigs and even pumped gas for a short time. John loved working with cows and horses, and he was very good at it. He was always very calm and seemed to know what the cow was going to do next. John loved to garden, cook and bake bread, crochet blankets and he even sewed his own western shirts. John also enjoyed visiting with his family, friends and neighbors and helping the elderly people around Maidstone while he was able. He will be sadly missed by all.
There will be no service at this time.
