Eileen Ann Meetoos

Eileen was born March 21st, 1962 to Lawrence Meetoos and Evelyn Meetoos (Frank). She was part of the 60’s scoop and had been placed in foster care with her sister, Noreen, while her siblings were in separate foster homes. Eileen and her sister were raised by the Rogal family until she left before her 18th birthday. 
In her younger years Eileen enjoyed and excelled in various sports especially figure skating where she often won provincials. One year she performed a solo as an “Indian Princess”. She was very skillful and graceful performing triple sow cows, double lutz and spirals. As Eileen got into her teenage years she was still very active in sports and won many competitions. She followed Noreen into the Military and joined the full time ranks for three years with the North Saskatchewan Regiment and made it as a Corporal. She served as a driver on many convoy runs in Saskatchewan to Alberta. She was also supply tech and message service operator.
She had two daughters; Erin-Nicole Meetoos and Evelyn-Charise Meetoos. She had lost one daughter in between. Eileen made a hard and difficult decision to let Noreen raise her daughter as she battled addictions and mental health issues as a result of drinking. In June of 2014, Eileen called her sister Noreen stating “I want to come home now. I’ve been given three months as I have Stage 4 Liver Chirosis.” Eileen’s road to recovery was difficult for her as she relocated from Saskatoon to Edmonton. However she was determined to get healthy and longed to regain family relationships.
Eileen always had a smile and made people feel at ease. She always had jokes to share and nicknames for people. She was very intelligent and street wise and determined to live her life to the fullest. She loved to dress up for all the holidays wearing many costumes; bunny ears, devil horns, an egg, elf ears, reindeer antlers, etc. Eileen wanted to let her daughters know she loved them with all her heart and prayed for their health, safety and success every day. Eileen will be deeply missed. 
Eileen is predeceased by; Lawrence Meetoos (dad), Justine Meetoos (step mom), Evelyn Meetoos (mom). Brothers; Guy Meetoos, Delbert Meetoos, and Ron Meetoos. Aunties; Rose Dubuc, Nancy Okanee, Florence Meetoos and Ivan Weekusk. Foster parents; Kay Rogal and Joe Rogal. Foster sister; Joanne Olerenshaw.
Survived by; her daughters Erin-Nicole Meetoos, Evelyn-Charise Meetoos. Grandchildren; Kirra Meetoos, Muskwa Yazzie Meetoos. Her sisters; Noreen Meetoos, April Klassen-Brown, Miriam Meetoos, Melanie Starr, Olivia Meetoos, Amelia Meetoos and Rosa Desjarlais. Her brothers; Myles Meetoos, Randy Meetoos, Tyrell Meetoos, Darryl Weekusk. Foster brothers; Pat Rogal, Jerry Rogal, Les Rogal and Don Rogal. As well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
