Dick Jones

Richard Edward Jones 'Dick' passed away at the age of 78 years on his farm near Spruce Lake, SK.  Dick was born August 10, 1939 in Turtleford, SK.  He lost his mother soon after and was raised by Frank and Helma Carlson in Livelong, SK.  Dick met Lola Ewert in 1966 and they were married August 2, 1969 in Spruce Lake, SK.  They soon settled in the area to raise their family.  Dick farmed and ranched there all of his life.

Dick loved driving the tractor with one of his kids and later one of his grandkids beside him.  Rarely did you see him without a kid by his side on his John Deere.  Dick loved the country life and was active on the farm up to his very last day.  

Dick was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas and Bodicia Alice Jones; his step-mother, Edwina Jones; his sister, Linda (Jerry) Light; his sister-in-law, Helen Jones; his step-brother, Ted Jones; his foster parents, Frank and Helma Carlson; his foster brothers, Gus Carlson, and Carl Carlson; his foster sisters, Lillian (Russel) Denny, Ellen (Mike Denny), and Vivian (Jack) Marshall; his mother-in-law, Florence Ewert; and his brothers-in-law, Greg Baribeau, and Doug Ewert.

He is survived by: his loving wife, Lola Jones; his adoring children, Carmela (Dave), Monte (Laura), Katrina (Ron), Robin, and Kyla (Hughes); his grandchildren, Colby (Sam) Riguidel, Jordy Riguidel, Mason Jones, Chase Theisen, Zevyn Theisen, Seth Zervin, Nash Zerbin, Ryker Larre, Bodi Laviolette, Vaidia Laviolette, Livaya Laviolette, Kace Laviolette, Nia Laviolette, and Everliegh Laviolette; his brother, Chuck Jones; his step-brother, Ray Jones; his step-sister, Grace Jones; his brother-in-law, Kelly (Pat) Ewert; his sisters-in-law, Wyonne Baribeau, Barb Byrgesen and numerous nieces, and nephews.
