Devon Ray Lewis, a brother, nephew, cousin, son, father, uncle, friend and lifelong member of Onion Lake First Nation, died unexpectedly on Monday, August 9th, 2021 at the age of 39 in Edmonton, AB.
Devon Lewis was born in Neilburg, SK. on November 8, 1981 to Clayton Tootoosis and Margaret Ruthie Lewis, and was raised by his mother, Sharon Rosalyn Lewis “Rosie”. Devon had the opportunity to know God through many numerous travels to gospel events throughout his upbringing. He was most proud and excited of bringing his children into this world, and he talked so proudly of his two handsome sons and his beautiful daughter.
Devon was a person with a heart of gold. He was very kind, generous, and loving. He had many struggles through his life, but he always showed compassion and enthusiasm. With his sudden passing, it saddens us to say that we did not get the chance to tell him we love him. Devon was always in the hearts and prayers of all those who loved him. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten by his friends, family and all who knew him. He is now reunited with the ones who have gone before us. Thank you Creator, for giving us the time we had to share life’s moments with Devon Ray Lewis.
