David Daniel Ernest

David Daniel Ernest was a loving husband, father, grandpa, brother, and son. He was born on January 25th, 1960, to Dora Cannepotatoe and (late) Ralph (Tony - Sputinow) Ernest. David loved Martha with his whole heart and always made sure that she knew it. He loved his grandkids very much and enjoyed their daily visits. David was a very family-oriented man, he was proud of all the accomplishments his children achieved and was extremely proud of his oldest granddaughter, Emma, when she achieved her grade 12 high school diploma in June of 2020. In his younger days, he played baseball, golf, and hockey. As time went on, he grew to love horses which led him to become a part of the ACE (Alexan, Crookedneck, Ernest) racing team as a chariot driver during the summer months. During the spring and fall seasons, he spent many years in Outlook, SK. at the Spudwick Farms. He also enjoyed musical instruments and at one point was a part of the band ‘Country Outlawz’. David could do anything and everything, he was a jack of all trades, and everyone knew him as ‘Super Dave’.
     
David was predeceased by: his grandma, Margaret (1996); his father, Ralph (Tony – Sputinow) Ernest (2020); his mother-in-law, Josephine Alexan (2015); his father-in-law, Joseph Masson (2006); his cousin, Kathy Waskahat; his nephew, Kirby Whitstone (2011); his brothers-in-law, Ernie Alexan, Wayne Scott and Jerry Alexan; his granddaughter, Alexa Jo Ernest (2010).
     
David leaves to mourn his passing: his loving wife, Martha; his daughters, Amanda, and Christie (Elliott); his son, Lucas (Janelle); his mother, Dora Cannepotatoe; his sister, Bridgette; his brother, Kevin; his grandchildren, Emma, Mason, Brynlee, Jaxson, Jolie, Evanee and Linken; his New Mexico family, Don & Sheila Chee-Chief & kids; his ACE racing team family; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
