Danny William Wagman

Danny William Wagman was born August 4, 1963, in Loon Lake, SK, to Anton and Margaret Wagman.  Danny married Geraldine Arlitt on June 20, 1987.  They had two children, Rachelle and Bailey.  

Danny began farming with his dad and brother at the age of 14, operating breaking plows throughout the surrounding communities for several years as well as working on the oil rigs.   Danny and Geraldine moved to their current farm location around 1985.  He worked at Clearwater Mill for John Reban slashing logs for a few years and then decided to just work on the farm.  He custom sprayed for a lot of neighbors for many years and was known as “Wagman Weed Wacking” – a name him and Rod Adamson came up with.  

He was known for being opinionated and wasn’t scared to get his point across to anybody but if you needed a hand whether he agreed with you or not he was there to help where he could.  Hunting was his passion but hunting elk was his favorite.  If someone was serious about hunting elk, he’d take them, but you had to do it his way.  One of his favorite hunts was when he, James and Cooper were out and were able to shoot a cow elk that ended up being not much bigger than a whitetail deer.  He enjoyed hunting with his daughter, Bailey, and they went out in the fall of 2020 and were able to harvest a bull moose.  
Danny enjoyed spending time at the lake, fishing or boating – especially pulling the girls on the tube.  He liked camping as well, and called it “roughing it” but always asked for all the amenities from home.  Skiddooing was another pastime he enjoyed – it was always a competition to see who could cat walk the farthest or who was the fastest – his daughter, Rachelle, usually beat them all when it came to racing.

The birth of his grandson, Tucker, was a very special moment in his life. Danny and Tucker shared a passion for anything with an engine whether it was a quad or a sled, and the faster the better.

Danny leaves to mourn his passing: his wife, Geraldine; his daughters, Rachelle (James), and Bailey (Warren); his brother, Wilfert (Pat); his sisters, Marie (Fritz), Gloria, Susan (Steve), and Darlene (Greg); his grandchildren, Ty, Cooper, Callie and Tucker; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton and Margaret.
