Cecilia Joyce Dillon

Cecilia Joyce Dillon was born on July 18, 1956 in Mistawasis/Leask, SK., and passed away in Lloydminster, SK. on June 12, 2022.  She was raised in Mistawasis and Whitefish, SK.  She met the love of her life, Brent Dillon, at Thunderchild powwow.  They then moved to Onion Lake and started their family.  Cecilia loved powwows and cultural ceremonies, where her children often participated. Cecilia loved having a full house of family during every holiday, especially Christmas.  She taught all her children to be humble and forgiving.  She always had an ear to lend, and always knew the right thing to say.  She had this amazing ability to make others around her happier and loved.  Cecilia truly was a saint on earth.   Everyone who knew her are feeling the pain of her passing.  She welcomed everyone in her home and always had coffee on.  She will be dearly missed and remembered as "pure love" by all that knew her.
     
Cecilia leaves to mourn: her loving husband, Brent Dillon of Onion Lake, SK.; her children, Carmelita Dillon of Onion Lake, SK., Waylon (Doreen) of Big River, SK., Cheryl (Thomas) of Onion Lake, SK., and Chelsey (Kyle) of Onion Lake, SK.; her siblings, Lawrence Black of Mistawasis, SK., Darlene Cyr of Saskatoon, SK., Grace Sutherland of Mistawasis, SK., and Mervin (Myrna) Turner of Mistawasis, SK.; her adopted children, Chato Dillon, Patricia Abbott, Tyrone Turner, Mary Muskego, Dane Dillon, Tony Gray, Junior Gray, Jesse Dillon, Trevor Bird, Angela Desjarlais, Clement Whitefish, Eugena Horse, Eagle Feather Littlewolfe, and all the ones who called her Mom; her 40+ grandchildren; her numerous chapans; her special grandchildren whom she helped raise, Mitchell Dillon, Wyatt Dillon and Garret Gagnon; and numerous other relatives.
     
She is predeceased by: her mother, Marie Louise Turner; her father, William Turner; her brother, Louis Badger; her infant sister; her special grandson, Noah Bird; her brother, Vernon Harper Jr.; two stillborn grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
