Brian Awasis Obituary

Brian (Acanes) Awasis was born on Thunderchild First Nation, January 6, 1943.  He will be remembered for his humour, wit and friendliness.  He loved to go hunting.  He worked hard as a farm labourer for local surrounding farmers.  He was fluent in Cree and loved his cultural traditions and ceremonies.  
     Brian is survived by: his brothers, Kenny, Wally, Dale, Bobby, Keith, and Kevin; his sister, Loretta; several aunties and uncles; relatives and friends 
    In his passing, he joins: his father, James Jr.; his mother, Caroline; his grandparents, James Sr. and Mary Awasis; and Tom and Esther Thunderchild; his brothers, Elmer, Lancelot, and Duncan; his sisters, Irene, Geraldine, and Helen; his son, Clark; and his daughters, Hilda and Valerie.
