Arthur Horse Obituary

Arthur Horse was born on February 12, 1935 to Edward and Genevieve Horse in Onion Lake.  He was raised in Thunderchild First Nation.  Arthur started working at the age of 13 years old for the local farmers. When he was 17 years old he left Thunderchild to go work.  He helped build the roads to Turtleford, also from Alcurve to Marwayne with (late) Alex Harper.  In the later years, he worked in and around Lloydminster in the oil industry, and worked with various farmers around Maidstone and surrounding area. He was quite well known.  He also served as band councellor on Thunderchild and bus driver.  He spent many years in Little Pine. He worked for farmers up until he was 80 years old.  He was a quiet, humble man, and a good father to all of his nieces and nephews.  Arthur was very close to his family and had a great sense of humor with everyone.
He is survived by: his children, Helen (Clayton), Lorna, Warren (Pam) and Aaron (Gail); his step-children, the Pewap family; his siblings, Susan, Theresa, Algena and Max (Ira); his sister-in-law, Katherine; his aunts, Edna, Julia, Christina; his uncle, Edward; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; and all of his family roots in the Pahtayken, Crookedneck, Stanley, Harper, and Abraham families.
Arthur is predeceased by: his wives, Nancy and Martha; his children, George, Virginia, Donald and Gerald; his granddaughter, Donalda; his chapan, Suri; his siblings, Genevieve, Ernest and Justine; his parents, Genevieve and Edward Horse; and his Horse and Harper grandparents.
