Anna-Belle Friesen

Anna-Belle Friesen grew her angel wings and flew away February 5th, 2020, at 9:45pm at the St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Her husband, Gerald, daughter Gala, son Lauro, stepson Ian and son-in-law Mike were at her side to see her off on her next big adventure.

Born August 11th 1934 in Los Angeles, California, Anna-Belle lived her 85 years to the fullest. She was the daughter of Anna-Belle and William H. Graham and sister to Bonnie, Sarah and Bill. Anna-Belle spent her childhood in Los Angeles and several other locations across the United States as her father served in the navy; they eventually settled in the Seattle, Washington area. From a young age, Anna-Belle had a passion for horses. By the age of 15 she was able to buy her first horse from the money she made by designing clothes for young girls. 

After an exciting career in real estate in Seattle, Anna-Belle realized her dream of living in the country when she moved to rural Saskatchewan in 1972. She spent many happy years with her husband Gerald on their ranch situated between Brightsand Lake and Turtle Lake where she enjoyed raising cattle, gardening, horse-back riding, and above all else, nature. It was during this time that Anna-Belle discovered her true calling as a massage therapist and was dedicated to helping others live a pain-free life.

Anna-Belle was dearly loved and will forever be remembered by her husband, Gerald Friesen; her children, Gala (Mike) Garland and Lauro Chartrand; stepsons Raymond and Ian Friesen; grandchildren Kelsi, Colby, Sienna, Olivia and Andrew; great-grandchildren Azia and Koda. In addition to her parents, Anna-Belle was predeceased by her son Gregory, sisters Bonnie and Sarah, and brother Bill.
