Anita was born and raised in Victoria B.C. and attended a number of different schools as she grew up. In 1972, she married the love of her life, Robert, and moved to the farm south west of Spruce Lake to start their life together. They raised four children, Debbie, Philip, Paul, and Tina. Mom devoted her life to her family; helping out on the farm, putting in a big garden, always serving a delicious meal, regardless of how many people happened to show up for dinner. She was also a welcoming host for company from Germany and other relatives, many times over the years. She liked gardening, sewing, reading, and she had her favourite TV shows as well. Later in life, Mom also enjoyed going for drives with Dad, checking cows, checking crops, and stopping to chat with a neighbour. In winter, they often could be found at the hockey rink, watching their grandkids play hockey. She was proud of all her kids and grandkids, and often talked about their sports activities and accomplishments. After a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, Mom passed away peacefully with family by her side.
Anita was predeceased by her husband, Robert Jetzke (2019); and by her mother, Kathleen Gruell (2014).
She leaves to mourn her passing: her daughter, Debbie (Randy) Arlitt and their children, Amanda, Amy, and Tyler; her son, Philip Jetzke and his children, Emily, Grace, Evan and Ethan; her son, Paul (Sherri) Jetzke and their children, Adam, Megan, Brynn; her daughter, Tina (Monty) Augustin and their children, Kelton and Riley; her sister-in-law, Betty Fisowich and her daughters, Tracy (Jason) Avram, and their children Hannah, Hailey, Joel; and Julie Fisowich.
