Anita Elaine Cardinal

   Anita Elaine Cardinal was born on February 24, 1959 to Donald and Dora Cardinal. Anita was the oldest of their children. Anita learned to play guitar and loved to sing wherever and whenever she could. At a young age, she toured around Saskatchewan doing what she loved.  When her name was mentioned, the most often comment heard was “She has a beautiful voice!”.  Anita loved her family and was protective of her children, at times almost to a fault.  She had a love of her grandchildren that was unmatched.  She was able to create a strong bond with them as they grew older.  It was in the little things that she would show you that she cared.  No matter if she had money or not, she would remember your birthday and would make the effort to at least get you a birthday card. Anita was an animal lover as well.  Whether you visited her or received a phone call, she would give an update on how her dogs were doing and if they were eating right.  
     She was predeceased by: her brother, Tony Cardinal; her sister, Lori Anne Cardinal; her father, Donald Cardinal;  her grandparents, Maria and Arsene Cardinal, and Maria and Morris Lewis; her aunties, Dorothy Cardinal and Irene Quinney; her uncles, Eric, Hubert and Clement Cardinal.  
     Anita is survived by: her mother, Dora Cardinal; her sisters, Terri (Ivan) Crookedneck, and Heather Cardinal; her brother, Stuart (Jolene) Cardinal; her children, Melanie Harper, Michael Cardinal and Kurt Cardinal; her grandchildren, Mariah (Ryan), Shane, Anthony, Teresse, Jayna and Jayse; her aunties, Emma Cardinal, Jean Whitford, Nellie Lewis, and Stella Lewis; her uncle, Gordon Lewis; and her seven nieces, three nephews and numerous cousins; her friends, Shaggy, Sadie, and Fatty.
