Alvina Gladys Lucy Crookedneck was born to George and Mary Crookedneck (nee Brownhat) on August 14, 1945 in Mudie Lake, Saskatchewan. She is the 2nd eldest of 8 children. Gladys loved her children grandchildren, and chapans dearly, they were her life. Some of her favourite hobbies were roundancing, going to ceremonial events, bingo, sewing and her favourite TV show was WWE.
She will be loved and missed by all.
Alvina is predeceased by: her common-law partner of 45 years, Robert Chamakese; her parents, George Crookedneck (1954), and Mary Crookedneck (nee Brownhat (1994); her step-dad, JB Gardipy (2005); her sisters, Susan Crookedneck (2011), and Georgina Crookedneck (2015); her brother, William Crookedneck (2013); her son, Jason Travis (1975); her grandsons, Conrad Dufraine (2006), and Lonnie Crookedneck (2019); her granddaughter, Becky Crookedneck (2007); and her daughters-in-law, Farrah Whitefish (2018), and Bridgette Meesto (2007).
She is survived by: her 9 children, Celvin, Terrell, Charlene (Max), Michael (Candace), Charles, Lenny, Charlotte (Rodney), Lenora (Dale), and Karen (Ivan); her brothers, Henry (Caroline), and Morris; her sisters, Viola (Darcy), and Louise; her aunt, Eliza; her grandchildren, chapans, and numerous nieces and nephews.
