Velma was quite the character with many traits. Laughing was her weakness and she found humour in anything and sometimes even nothing at all. She enjoyed taking walks, picking berries, doing puzzles, and watching her favorite show "A Walk to Remember", she knew the movie word for word and scene after scene. Velma worked many jobs and every year in the fall she looked forward to working at Taber, AB. She loved the thought of being in a crew and making memories so she could come home and share all of her stories. Velma's grand kids were her world and made them her first priority. She had a big heart for her children and took pride in being the best kokom for all of her grandchildren. She loved them all unconditionally. Velma shared her life with her best friend and soul mate, Barney. Every chance she got she would tell us how she never met a man so nice and that he also played the guitar, "Chi Barney!" she would always say. Velma fulfilled her life with her entire family and friends . She showed us love and left us with wonderful memories. We love you, always have, always will.
