Vanessa Julie Albertine Desjarlais

 Vanessa Julie Albertine Desjarlais was born on June 7, 1978 to Kathy Desjarlais and Gerald Peter Horse in Cold Lake, Alberta.
She lived most of her life in Saskatoon, where she made many friends. She attended a cooking program and had worked with the Maintenance Department in Thunderchild for awhile. She was kind hearted, helping people when she could, and loved to read. Vanessa had a great sense of humour, and when introducing herself she would say, “Niya oma Peter Horse otanisa”.
 Vanessa was predeceased by: her mother, Kathy Desjarlais; her sister, Alicia Rusk; her grandparents, Josephine and Isadore Horse; and aunts, uncles and relations.
   Vanessa leaves to mourn:  her children, Conan Desjarlais, Donny Ray Desjarlais,Brendan Desjarlais, and Braiden Sakastew Desjarlais; her father, Gerald Peter Horse; her siblings, Tyrone (Tannis) Horse, Tyson Chief, Dakota Desjarlais, Grayson Horse, Montana Horse and Jenessa Horse; her kokoms, Julia Crookedneck and Christina Pahtayken; her mosoms, Norman Pahtayken and Edward Pahtayken; and numerous aunts, uncles, and relations.
