Sydney (Syd) Peterson was born in Preeceville, SK, and was the youngest child of Arnold and Agnes Petersen. Syd enjoyed working for Flint Engineering for over 35 years. During that time, he earned several safe driving awards and belonged to the accident free 5 million mile club. After retirement, he enjoyed time spent with his friends he made at Adesa Auction and LonKar Well Testing. He enjoyed spending time at Buck Lake and always had a great campfire joke to share with Pete.
He also spent time travelling, he visited Hawaii, Mexico, Panama, Cuba, New Zealand, Australia, numerous trips to Alaska, Yukon, B.C and Saskatchewan. Syd will be remembered for his tremendous courage, kindness and unconditional love of family and friends.
He was predeceased by: his loving wife, Hazel; his son, Barry; his brothers, Alan, Ernest, Wilfred and Art; his nephews; and his parents, Arnold & Agnes.
Syd leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Shirley; his sons, Kevin, Troy, Syd and their families; his sister, Gladys Hornett; his step-son, Randy and family; his granddaughters, MacKenna, Annabelle, Kaylyn, Leah, Katie, and Sara; the Petersen and Craig Families; and many other family members.
