Marie Crookedneck Obituary

Marie Thereasa Crookedneck was born on September 11, 1943 at Greig Lake, SK., to Pierre and Victoria Dufresne.  Marie was a faithful mother to many who knew her.  She was strong and she dearly loved her children and grandchildren.  She enjoyed planting flowers and looked forward to her hummingbirds in the spring.  In her faith, Mom traveled with Dad to many gospel meetings where our church family grew.  Mom enjoyed outdoor activities with her sisters and aunts.  In her spare time, Mom enjoyed her phone conversations with her buddies and occasionally watching sports.  She also loved hosting women's Bible study at her home.
Marie leaves to mourn: her children, Denny (Connie) Crookedneck, Velma Crookedneck, Lisa Crookedneck, Tresa (Carl) Paul, Charlene (Kevin) Amahoose, Dion Crookedneck, and Hadassah (Malcolm) Crookedneck; her adoptive children, Charles Houle, Dawna (Stuart) Crookedneck, Andrew Watchmaker, Miles Lasas, Cory Bigstone, Jaydo Lewis, Gordon Shaw, and numerous others, too many to mention; and her sisters, Virginia (Royce) Rowland, Delores Lasas, Caroline Lasas, and Margaret Crookedneck.
She is predeceased by: her husband, Charlie Crookedneck; her brothers, Paul Bear, Roger Lasas, Neil Lasas, Norman Lasas, Raymond Lasas, and Rowland Dufresne; her sisters, Julia Matchee, Cecilia Northwest, Susan Lasas, Sandra Lasas, and Rose Cantre; her grandparents, Pedro and Lydia Lasas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
