Margaret Christine Wapass was born on April 26, 1947 to Peter Wapass and Bella Takakenew.  Margaret was a traditional knowledge keeper, she followed our Nehiyaw Natural Laws, protecting the culture and protocols.  She was also a champion Pow Wow dancer, a registered social worker with a Bachelor of Indian Social Work, a business owner of Kehiw Ahpiw, which provided traditional holistic counselling.  

Margaret joined Francois Aubichon "Darling", and   together they raised three children, Arnold (Renita), Ronald (Sandra), and Richard Aubichon; and adopted Rebecca, Morning Dawn, Janet Wapass, Gary, Michael, and Francois, and many more, too numerous to name.  She was kookoom to:  Rhonda "Duswegon" (Michael), Sundance (predeceased), Montana, "Stephanie Jones" (Kale), Jenelle, Hunter, Megan (Renny), Nightsong, Rocky, Sylvester (Alex), Storm (Tiana), Wind (Josie), Mequwan, Asanih, Sarah (Jason), Darcy, Syriah, Jessie Aubichon, Cameron Aubichon, and Todd Kehiwin.  Margaret was chapan to: Danika, Nevaeh, Isaiah, Bella, Sky Dancer, Zinnia, Renan, Leah, Jay, Jason, Jasmine, and Muskwa Kehiw, Wihkask, Sohkiso, and Wasihkicahk.  Margaret's siblings are: Celia (Brad "Golfer"), John Auther Wapass (predeceased), Billy Sr. (Theresa), Lila Newlove (predeceased), Julie Ann Helgason, Berneice Wapass, Gladys (Jim), Hazel Wapass (predeceased), and Philomene Hill.
