Christina Florence Dillon (nee Waskewitch) was born to Pete Waskewitch and Madeline Waskewitch (nee Lameman) on July 23, 1936 in Onion Lake. Christina was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother, chapan, sister, and friend. She dedicated her life to taking care of others, whether it was making sure her husband and sons were fed while working, being a mom to her younger siblings, or helping to raise her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, Joseph, Elizabeth, Suzette, and Sophia. She enjoyed baking, gardening, traveling, and attending cultural events. Anyone who entered her home was treated with respect and never left hungry. Christina will be remembered for her humor, strength, courage, perseverance, and most of all being humble. She has left a void in our hearts. However, over time it will be filled with memories, and laughter as we remember our many family gatherings that she was at the center of.
Christina is predeceased by: her parents, Pete and Madeline; her loving husband, Charles; her sons, Clifford and Nelson; her daughter-in-law, Delores; her sister, Jean; her sister-in-law, Marilyn; her grandchildren, Matthew, Timothy, and Kristen; her great grandchildren, Jerome and Nelson Emory.
She leaves to mourn her passing: her children, Clayton (Diane), Marjorie, Lenny (Lynda), Jeff (Lily), Bennett (Velma), Wilma (Stuart), and Shantel (Winston); her siblings, Percy, Lydia (Willard), Jim, Shirley, Joe, Lelian (Charlie), Sam, Elaine and Dorothy; her 46 grandchildren, 83 great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
