Candace was a loving wife and mother. She rarely thought of herself and would give all she had to help people. Her children were everything to her and she would make sure they had whatever they wanted. The last couple of years of her life were hard on her as her health deteriorated but she never stopped caring for people. Candace was adopted by many elders and families in Ministikwan, Loon Lake, Joseph Bighead, and considered Ministikwan her home.
Candace "Nutokwew" will be lovingly remembered by: her husband, Sidney Chief "Wah Pi O hoo"; her daughter, Angel Myrna Chief "O Sow Kihew Is Kwew"; her son, Micheal Callin Chief "Kaskitew Muskisa Ochi Awasis"; her father, Archie Weenie; her step-mother, Shirley Weenie; her sisters, Debra Weenie, Cherish Mirasty, and Larissa Papin; her brothers, Darrel (Donn) Weenie, Curtis (Joanne) Weenie, Charlies Weenie, and Anthony Cardinal; her adopted sister, Jackie Wesaquate; and many other relatives.
She is predeceased by: her mother, Myrna Weenie; her grandparents, Charlie and Emma Weenie; her grandfather, Ron Wesaquate; her uncles, Ben, Ernie, and Adam Weenie; and her aunt, Lucy Kahpeaysewat; her brothers-in-law, Boyd Chief, and Berny Chief; and numerous other relatives.
