Betty Anne Chief was born in Paradise Hill, SK on January 11, 1954 to Alvina Chief (nee Naistus) and Norman Chief. She was the 6th of 17 children. Betty was a wonderful mother, devoted kokom and chapan. She was a very compassionate lady with an extremely great sense of humour. Laughter was always around in the presence of Betty. She enjoyed spending her time with her children, and was blessed with fifty grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. Her hobbies included: beading, cooking, cleaning, playing cards and her all-time favourite was bingo. 7-11 chicken wings and KFC were her delicacies. Betty had met her first common-law partner, Alvin Bert Dillon, in 1975, and they had eight beautiful children together. She then met her partner, Gordon Holley, in 2003, and they spent 15 wonderful years together.
Betty is predeceased by: her eldest daughter, Amy Chief (1981); her granddaughter, Chance (2006); her parents, Alvina Chief (2016), and Norman Chief (1983); her paternal grandparents, Jimmy Chief (1984) and Amy Chief (1962); her maternal grandparents, Mary Quinney (1996) and Joseph Naistus (1962); her sister, Norma Chief (1999); her brother, Arnold Chief (2016); her nephews, Donovon Chief (2003), Ferdinand Naistus (1994), and Carlyle Chief (1981); her nieces, Patricia Chief (2016), Sandy Chief (2007), Candace Chocan (1993), and Juanita Naistus (1975); and her grandchildren, Jordan Rabbit (2016), Jeneane Chief (2012), Richauna Chief (2014), and Kenly Chief (2006).
She leave to mourn her: children, Carl Chief (Jessica), Lucas Chief, Mike Dillon (Courtney), Burt Chief (Felicia), Steven Chief, Earl Chief, and Melissa Chief; her special friend, Gordon Holley; her siblings, Lorraine (Raymond) Chocan, Roy Naistus, Susan Chief, Lydia Chief, David Chief, Charles (Beatrice) Chief, Clifford Chief, Viola Chief, Marilyn Chief, Arlene Chief (Jack), Eleanor Chief, Elaine Chief (Jerome), Lyle Chief (Anna), and Karen Chief (Quinton); fifty grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
